Professor Sun Kim is a leading figure at the intersection of computer science and bioinformatics. He is currently a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University, where he contributes to research and academic community-building in bioinformatics and systems biology. He previously served as Director of the Bioinformatics Institute at Seoul National University. Professor Kim also served as the 11th President of MOGAM, where he led the institute's strategic transition toward AI-driven drug discovery and helped establish the foundation for its long-term research strategy and operating model. His work has been internationally recognized, including the NSF CAREER Award from the U.S. National Science Foundation. He was also named among the Leaders in 1000 Technologies by the National Academy of Engineering of Korea and is currently a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea. Drawing on experience across both academia and industry research, he continues to advance bioinformatics-based technologies and help train the next generation of researchers.

Professor Jaewoo Kang is a leading researcher in biomedical AI and bioinformatics, known for internationally recognized work in both fields. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Korea University and serves as Vice President of the Korean Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, while also holding leadership roles in the Korea Information Science Society. Professor Kang has demonstrated the practical competitiveness of his research through repeated first-place rankings in major international biomedical AI competitions, including Dream Challenge, BioCreative, and BioASQ. His BioBERT work is widely regarded as a pioneering study in transformer-based biomedical language models and remains one of the most highly cited domain-specific language models in the field. In addition to his academic research, Professor Kang is also active in technology commercialization as the CEO of AIGEN Sciences, bridging advanced research with real-world biomedical innovation.

Professor Daehee Hwang is a leading researcher in bioinformatics and systems biology, with a focus on uncovering disease mechanisms and advancing precision medicine. He currently serves as a Professor in the School of Biological Sciences at Seoul National University and as Director of the Bioinformatics Institute, while also contributing to the academic community as Vice President of the Korean Society for Bioinformatics. Previously, he served as Deputy Director of the IBS Center for Plant Aging Research, where he led research on biological systems and aging mechanisms. His work has contributed to understanding early disease mechanisms in neurodegenerative disorders and to identifying diagnostic and therapeutic targets for early-onset gastric cancer. More recently, Professor Hwang has been advancing AI- and big data-driven approaches to drug development, promoting collaborative research between academia and industry and expanding the role of bioinformatics in biomedical innovation.

Professor Jinwoo Shin is an internationally recognized researcher in machine learning theory and probabilistic modeling. He currently serves as a Professor at the Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI and the School of Electrical Engineering at KAIST, and holds the ICT-KAIST Endowed Chair. He plays an active leadership role in the global AI research community as a Senior Area Chair for NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR. His research contributions have been widely recognized, including the ACM SIGMETRICS Rising Star Award and the Test-of-Time Award, reflecting the lasting impact of his theoretical work. Earlier in his career, he received the George M. Sprowls Award at MIT EECS for the best Ph.D. dissertation, demonstrating exceptional scholarly excellence from the outset of his research career. Beyond academia, Professor Shin also contributes to bridging theory and practice by advising industry research initiatives and supporting the translation of machine learning theory into real-world applications.
