The Mogam Institute for Biomedical Research (hereinafter referred to as 'the Institute') complies with personal information protection regulations under applicable laws, including the 'Personal Information Protection Act,' and has established this Privacy Policy in accordance with relevant laws to protect the rights and interests of users.

4. Right to Refuse Consent and Disadvantages of Refusal

Users have the right not to consent to the provision of personal information described below. However, as the information provided is essential for partnership inquiries and donations, the Institute cannot verify facts or notify processing results without such information. Therefore, if you do not consent to the provision of personal information, use of partnership inquiry and donation services may be restricted.

Article 2 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)

The Institute processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal information being processed will not be used for purposes other than those stated below, and if the purpose of use changes, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent will be taken in accordance with relevant laws.

Receipt and confirmation of partnership inquiries, contact by person in charge, notification of processing results

Receipt, confirmation and management of donations, notification of processing results

Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)

Users' personal information is retained for the following periods, and once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved after the specified period, personal information will in principle be destroyed without delay. However, if investigation or inquiry due to violation of relevant laws is in progress, it will be retained until the completion of such investigation or inquiry.

Partnership inquiries: 1 year from the completion of inquiry processing

Donations: 1 year from the completion of donation processing

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Institute processes and retains personal information within the retention and use period prescribed by law or agreed upon at the time of collection from data subjects. The processing and retention periods for each type of personal information are as follows.

Receiving organizations: GC, GC Wellbeing, Eunistree, Mogam Institute, GC MS, GC EM, Greenvet, Inbaekpharm, GC Medis, GC Genome, GC Medical Foundation, GCCL, GC I-MED, Geneslab, GC Care, Ubcare, GC Cell, Mogam Science Scholarship Foundation

Purpose of provision: 1:1 inquiry handling and complaint processing for affiliates

Personal information items provided: Name, phone number

Retention period: Until the purpose of provision is achieved

Article 5 (Rights, Obligations, and Methods of Exercise by Data Subjects)

1. Data subjects may exercise the following personal information protection rights against the Institute at any time.

Request for access to personal information

Request for correction of errors

Request for deletion

Request for suspension of processing

Withdrawal of consent

2. The exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 may be made to the Institute in writing, by email, or by FAX, and the Institute will take action without delay. If a data subject requests correction or deletion of errors in personal information, the Institute will not use or provide such personal information until the correction or deletion is completed.

3. The exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 may be made through a legal representative or an authorized agent of the data subject.

Article 6 (Destruction of Personal Information)

1. The Institute destroys personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary due to the expiration of the retention period or achievement of the processing purpose.

2. The destruction procedure and method are as follows.

1 Destruction procedure: In principle, personal information is destroyed without delay upon achievement of the processing purpose, and in exceptional cases, it is stored for a certain period according to internal policies before being destroyed. Such personal information is not used for any purpose other than retention unless required by law.

2 Destruction method: Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that prevent the records from being reproduced. Personal information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration.

Article 7 (Measures to Ensure Safety of Personal Information)

The Institute takes the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information.

1. Administrative Measures

2. Technical Measures

Management of access rights to personal information processing systems, installation of access control systems, encryption of unique identification information, installation of security programs, and other necessary measures in accordance with relevant laws

3. Physical Measures: Access control for computer rooms and data storage rooms

Article 8 (Technical and Administrative Protection Measures for Personal Information)

The Institute takes the following technical/administrative measures to ensure that users' personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, altered, or damaged during processing.

1. Measures Against Hacking

The Institute does its best to prevent personal information from being leaked or damaged by hacking or computer viruses. We use the latest antivirus programs to prevent leakage or damage of users' personal information and data, and ensure safe transmission of personal information over networks through encrypted communication. We also control unauthorized access from outside using intrusion prevention systems and strive to have all possible technical devices to ensure system security.

2. Training of Personal Information Handlers

We always emphasize compliance with the Privacy Policy through regular training of personnel responsible for handling personal information at the Institute.

Article 9 (Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices)

1. Cookies

The Institute uses 'cookies' that store and retrieve user information to provide personalized and customized services. Cookies are very small text files sent by the server operating the website to the user's browser and stored on the user's computer hard disk. When the user visits the website, the server reads the content of the cookies stored on the user's hard disk to maintain the user's environment settings and provide customized services. Cookies do not automatically or actively collect information that identifies individuals, and users can refuse or delete the storage of cookies at any time.

2. Purpose of Cookie Use by the Institute

Used for main page popups and statistical purposes (number of visits, most visited pages, etc.).

3. Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Cookies

Users have the option to accept or reject cookie installation. Therefore, users can allow all cookies, confirm each time a cookie is stored, or refuse all cookies by setting options in their web browser. However, refusing cookie storage may cause difficulty in using some services.
